decaf ("the App") is an Android application available on the Google Play Store, developed and maintained by Data Inserter LTD ("we", "us", "our").
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information. decaf is designed to function without collecting any personal data. This policy applies to all users worldwide.
Information We Collect
decaf collects no personal information.
All settings and preferences (such as your filter configuration) are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
The App loads social media platforms inside a sandboxed browser. Your session data and login credentials for those platforms stay within that sandbox. decaf never touches them.
Your Data Never Leaves Your Device
Everything stays on your phone.
Your settings live on your device.
Filter preferences are saved locally on your phone. There is no server and no account.
Your browsing stays in the app.
When you use decaf to browse Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, or any other platform, your login session and activity go directly between your device and that platform. decaf applies your filters without reading or recording what you do.
No connection to our servers.
decaf makes no network requests. We have no servers receiving your data, because there is nothing to send.
Uninstalling removes everything.
Uninstalling decaf removes all locally stored data. There is nothing on our end to delete, because we never had it.
In-App Purchases
decaf offers a one-time purchase to unlock all features. This transaction is processed by the Google Play Store. We do not process or store any payment information ourselves.
Third-Party Services
There are no analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or ad networks in the app.
The social media platforms you access through the App operate under their own privacy policies. decaf acts as a browser for those platforms — it does not intercept or read your activity on them.
Data Retention & Deletion
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end.
Your local app data (filter settings, preferences) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App.
Children's Privacy
decaf is not directed at children under the age of 13. decaf does not recommend children use social media. The App collects no personal data from any user, including children.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws, you may have the right to access or delete personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to act on from our side.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Any significant changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
